My little Halloween Turtle

I am SO behind on everything so this is just a quick little post about our little man's Halloween. He was the cutest turtle ever. He HATED his costume though! He hates anything on his head. So I knew when we bought the costume that he wasn't going to put up with it. Anyway here are our halloween pictures.

Utah fun

Linkin and I had a great time in Utah. I love the fact that we live so much closer and can see family more often. Linkin was quite busy all week.

Ashley let him have some of her ice cream. He wouldn't leave her alone after that!

He LOVES remotes (anything that he isn't suppose to play with he loves) He always was trying to pull them down.

We got back Monday and my poor little buddy hasn't been feeling great since we have gotten back. I noticed that he had a way way bad diaper rash and he had a runny nose so just to be on the safe side Wednesday I took him to the doctor. Turns out the diaper rash is actually a yeast infection... who knew. Poor little guy. They gave use some stuff for it and its already clearing up thank goodness!

He weighs 20 lbs and is 26.5 inches long. I think the doctor said that it put him in the 25-30 percentile for weight and 90-95 for height. I still can't figure out how he is such a tall boy.

The only good thing about him feeling sick is that he is napping a ton! He is a very backwards boy! But I am getting a ton of stuff done.

P.S. thanks a lot Ashley and Ky I am addicted to Owl City too now... sigh

Gigantic update

I have been so behind on my blogging, but Linkin has gotten SO active lately and he LOVES to wait until I am doing something and than go upstairs as fast as he can and turn the water on the tub (we almost had a flood because I didn't know that he did it!) or sneaking into "Redwing Room" and throwing my CD's and DVD's around. Lucky he is so darn cute. And I barely found my camera cord so I can finally upload pictures so I am really sorry about the picture overload.

I love his face! He is eating everything! He loves corndogs (I know its not the healthiest food in the world but he eats it SO good) and noodles. He will stand alone now for a bit until he realizes that you aren't holding him and than he laughs and sits down.

August we went to the Colorado State fair. Linkin got to ride a pony for the first time. He loved it! I love his smile in the first picture.

Ashley came out and visited last weekend. We had a blast with her! Linkin loves his auntie Ashley! She got in on Thursday but we had to wait until Saturday to do anything fun. We ended up going to the Denver Aquarium which was AWESOME! Linkin loved the fish and he would stand up against the glass and stare at them. Ashley and Marc got to feed the stingrays and Linkin touched his very first stingray! I didn't get a picture because I forgot my camera and was taking pictures with my phone thus the crappy quality! Afterwords we went to Dave and Busters to eat. I love that place!

We have been having a lot of fun lately... I am excited that the weather is cooling down! I LOVE fall!

My little man

I am so slow at updating but Linkin has been such a busy body lately and it's been hard to keep up with him! He has been getting into EVERYTHING!

We are finally getting out of the "living out of boxes" stage and I have started decorating for autumn. I LOVE this time of year! The weather is perfect... not to hot not to cold and the decorations are so cute!

Linkin is walking behind his Tonka truck and clapping its so fun to watch him learn and grow I still cannot believe this is my little baby! It has gone by way to fast! I miss when he was a little newborn and I could just sit and snuggle him all day and now all he wants to do is go go go. Anyway while we were back in Utah we went and got pictures done. I am SO bad at getting his pictures you would think I would be better... anyway they did a great job!

The quote under this one is "I have a hero, I call him daddy" It brought a tear to my eye.

So it took a while but the "Faces" pictures are growing on me. Its not fair that they change it AFTER I leave.

An update.

So the other night Marc informed me that our blog is in need of an update and since HE noticed that I thought it must be time. I still don't have any pictures of the house (that I want to show.... we are still somewhat in boxes.) because I have been so busy helping my friend with her baby the past couple of weeks when she went back to work so with a 7 month old and a 2 month old it was all I could do to even get ready for the day, which sadly didn't happen to much. But her husband is back from Iraq so I am back to being a one baby momma :)

Linkin is getting to be such a big boy! He started climbing the stairs after being in the new house only a couple days. So we had to invest in a baby gate to keep him in the downstairs area. He also loves closing doors and locks himself in the dark windowless laundry room daily. We had a good laugh the other night when he did that when Marc was home and we hear "click" "mom?" he loves to jabber mom and sometimes bob and when he eats he growls and throws his hands in the air like he is on a roller-coaster :) He loves the remote and changing the channel. Such a busy little boy I can hardly keep up! I can't believe that he is almost 8 months. Time has just been flying by! Marc has been so busy with work lately but next week he will start coming home earlier because they are getting ready to deploy in the new year. We are not sure if Marc is actually going with them since he is getting ready to re-enlist anyway but we will see. I hope he doesn't. Anyway here are some updated pictures.

We are in our house!

It took forever BUT we are finally in our new house and I finally got the internet working. Yay. I still have a ton of stuff to unpack and the house is a mess right now but we are definitely getting there. I will try to update later with pictures.

So behind!

I am so slow at updating. We have been so busy since we have gotten back from Utah. We had a great vacation and it was so nice to be able to see everyone. (Sorry if I missed you... we definitely - ha see mom and Ashley - didn't have enough time!) Since we have gotten back we have been trying to get ready to move into our house. Marc had to go out to the field this week. He gets to come home for the weekend but than he is back out for another week... so doing the single mommy thing hasn't been very fun.

Linkin is getting SO big. He is crawling like a madman and pulling himself up to everything and anything. I think that he is going to start walking here in a bit. He popped out FOUR more teeth... the top four. I keep telling everyone he will be eating steak by the time he is 1 if we keep going the way we are going and he started saying mom today He is growing so darn fast. I have a video of it I will try and post..

6 Months!!

My little buddy is 6 months old and I can hardly believe it! It seems like it was just yesterday he was born! At his 6 month wellness exam he was 16.11 lbs 26.5 inches! He is such a tall skinny little man! He sits up and crawls EVERYWHERE! He is also cutting his third tooth!

The other day I watched my friend's new little baby Olivia Linkin's future girlfriend. She is the sweetest little girl! Linkin would have loved to get his hands on her but he is going through the claw out your eyes stage so I tried to keep them a little separated but they are SO cute together! Its hard to imagine that he was that little once! It makes me baby hungry again... kind of....

He loves chewing on everything that he can get his little mouth on. His favorites are daddy's ears or nose or the little red rubber ducky. He will stick they head in his mouth and crawl around. Its so funny!

It's been a great 6 months with Linkin he defiantly isn't the easiest baby by a long shot but we love him just the way he is! We are all getting ready to go to Utah day after tomorrow! I can't wait to see everyone!

Seven Falls and the Denver Zoo

So thanks for all the help everyone... its still annoying as anything to post pictures but oh well... anyway, this past weekend we have been busy! Friday we headed up to Seven Falls to see the waterfall and to walk up the 300+ stairs! Whew! It was exhausting but definatly worth the climb! Before we left we got a hiking baby carrier and Linkin LOVED it! Sadly I forgot my camera so the pictures were taken with my phone and not that great.



The next day despite some major calf burning we headed out to the Denver Zoo. It was a nice day in the morning but later in the afternoon we got rained out, so that was kind of a bummer. Linkin liked looking at the trees and people but didn't really know what to make of the animals. He liked the rainforest exhibit though with the colorful fish.

All tuckered out!

Everywhere we went he would be staring straight up! It was so funny!

He also got to ride the carousel for the first time! He was mostly interested in trying to lick the pole that you are suppose to hold on to! EW!

HELP!

Okay so I have a post that has a TON of pictures BUT I am sick of every time I add pictures they are at the top of my post and I have to drag them down and it messes up the entire thing! Annoying! Am I just an idiot and not know how to make this work normally or what? I want to finish my post but I am getting FRUSTRATED!
